ECA students selected to participate in the CT Music Educators’ Association Southern Region and All-State* Music Festivals.

ECA students Michaela Nunez (ECA ‘23) & Phoenix Geyser (ECA ‘23) selected to participate in the New Haven Symphony Orchestra Young Composers Project, a 2-year program in which young musicians work with NHSO Composer-in-Residence Joel Thompson.

Pianist, singer, & song-writer, Julie graduates from Newtown High School & the ACES Educational Center for the Arts this June, with an Artist Certificate in Performance (Piano).

Julie plans to attend Belmont University this fall, to major in Song Writing.

 



August Wilson Monologue Competition, Long Wharf Theatre, February 2020

Four ECA students competed as finalists in the regional August Wilson monologue competition at Long Wharf Theatre on February 24, 2020; Koda Blue, Ivan Lazaro, & Emmanuel Gonzalez (Theatre Department) and Brandon Oliveras (Music Department). Koda Blue placed 1st & Emmanuel Gonzalez placed 3rd in the competition. Congratulations to all!
